This is one of the seven serval kittens from the Aachener Tierpark. They are grown a lot since August when I saw them the first time.
The lens I used to capture this photo isn't mine, I borrowed it from another very nice photographer. Everything I did with my EF 75-300 landed in the digital trash can because I got only soft shit..

You did well to get this action shot with a borrowed lens that you weren't familiar with. Catching him in mid-leap was a challenge. The picture may have been more dramatic if the contrast between him and the background were a bit more pronounced. I would like to have seen a bit more of body, with less rounded back and legs not exactly aligned. Perhaps if you'd been a bit more to the side to catch his right forward shoulder in the jump. (I know, though to arrange sometimes). The tree ends up in a less than optimum spot too. A pleasant picture, but in a magazine, only one I'd take more than a passing glance at. Revisiting the zoo to capture their growth was a good idea.
