I had to travel over the border to finally see a cougar for the first time. They're great cats. Unfortunately it's a tight crop, I would have needed 535mm for this but only had 200mm.

Saw one of these in the wild once -- from inside a vehicle thankfully, it was crossing the highway.
Have got to know the two locals in captivity as well.
