The serval is a mid sized cat which can be found in africa. His long legs allow the serval to kill it's prey with a mighty leap. It's even said that they even can catch a bird flying three meters above the ground. Sometimes you can observe a serval playing with it's prey by throwing it in the air and catching it again. Especially young servals tend to play with their prey.

Compositionally I would have liked to have the serval not centered. As kids we're taught that things need to be centered to be good, but when you enter the art world it tends to make the composition seem boring. I think it could make a bigger impact if it were slightly off-center or pacing along one of the sides.
Another technique based thing is how you did the black and white to color mix. First off, you missed a small patch between the tangle of serval legs, it was one of the first things I noticed. Another is the 'halo' effect you're getting around the animal because of poor blending. When you go to make the background and foreground different colors you need to have it clean. In the case of animals that gets hard because of all the individual hairs. So when you go about doing this you can go in and use the blur tool on the black and white layer so it smoothes out the transition into color. Personally I think it would have been better if the background wasn't completely black and white, maybe mostly greyed out but still having color seeping through.
Having a serval as a subject gets major points. Not many people know of servals, let alone take decent photography of them, so you get points for that! The image itself is quite lovely as well, the hint of fence behind the foliage with the pacing serval creates a caged look and really sets a feel.
