Despite the cameras highest ISO value and strong cropping (2.7 megapixel large crop), I got at least a few details in it. This very old lens impressive me everytime I use it, I wont give it away anymore. It's even sharper than my 14 times more expensive Canon telezoom lens.
Not bad for a 10€ lens right?

Camera: Canon EOS 400D
Lens: Hanimar 200mm f/3.5 @ f/4
Manual Mode; Manual Focus

EXIF data in the image isn't complete and partly wrong because the lens has no electronics in it.

Thank you sooo much :) Taking photos of Birds with MF is hard work, they're so damn fast and never sit long at the same spot.

I'd be hanging onto that lens to!!! An awesome effort, especially considering the things you described. I thought the shot was pretty damn good before I read your comments, now it's, :wow: I've never heard of that brand before though.

Thank you very much.
Hanimar offered lenses for the low budget market during the analog time thus that lens isn't the best one from that time and it has nothing, no autofocus, no electrical aperture control and no exif transmission. It surprised me that such an old lens can be sharper than some way newer Canon Telephoto zoom but it really is (I know comparing zooms to prime lenses isn't fair but I expected a different result because of the age difference).
However it won't be sharp on newer cameras thanks to the increased sensor resolution.

Oh okay, fair enough :) I still think it's doing a pretty fair job considering :)
